A Little History over Mother's Day weekend

On mother's day weekend, Lora and John came up for a visit...well, Uncle Don Borgholthaus had passed away and the funeral was Friday, May 11, 2012. So they actually came up for that and then stayed for a visit. It's always so fun to talk with them. We just don't get to see them a lot. They invited us to go with them to the Three Mile Island Interpretive Center in Glenns Ferry. It was really neat to read some of the stories of the pioneers along the Oregon Trail. We hiked a little bit down to the river and the ferry...again so grateful for our modern convenience called the car! i cannot imagine setting out to Oregon on foot! We are truly blessed!

Of course, before the BBQ on Saturday night with the whole family, the boys and Audrey HAD to play in Grandma's sandbox with water and shovels! Such Fun!
