Samantha
Our dear Sami died this morning. She was very sick and wouldn't even steal food or bark! It was horrible to watch her go down hill so fast. She couldn't even walk down the hall or drink water. Vet said that she had cancer pretty bad and to let her eat whatever she wanted...hello, she did that all of her life!
It was hard on the family, especially Dan. The boys took it well, as we explained all that was going on. The vet was really supportive and let us mourn as we needed to. Ethan took it extremely hard and sobbed on and off all day. Quinten was telling him to stop crying, you crybaby. Everyone takes death differently! :)

Hey Kelly, it's DanaKae. I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Samantha. We had to put our beloved labrador down 4 or 5 years ago because she too got cancer. I prayed every night for a week that she would die peacefully, but it just didn't happen. She too stopped eating and drinking. It was the hardest thing to do to watch the life go out of such a beloved pet. She's still the best dog in the world to us. My condolences to your family.
