Idaho Falls, Idaho

Our little family had an exciting trip this past weekend--we drove to Idaho Falls to attend the wedding of Shannon and Cory.  I always welcome the chance to take the boys to any temple and of course, we were honored to attend the wedding. Such special time for the bride and groom and it helps me keep alive the day Dan and I made those covenants with each other.  I even get emotional walking into the temple because it is such a special event!  I can still remember walking into the temple on our wedding day, carrying my wedding dress and smiling.  Seems like forever ago.

The boys stayed in the waiting room and had books to look at.  They were very, very good!  I was so happy and so worried a fight would break out!  (don't worry, they made up for it on the drive home...haha)  We asked the boys what they thought of the temple and how they felt.  Ethan said that he could feel the spirit and Quinten said he could feel the spirit and he wanted to cry.  Moments like these don't come too often.  I'm grateful.

I learned a lot from the sealer too.  Comparing life to the temple, he said that life is in 4 phases. We are prepared. We are educated. We make promises and covenants. We are tested.  I sure understand the testing phase of things, but I never thought about the rest of it in that way.  I know when I face trials I don't often think of the preparation and education that I've received to help me deal with the trial.  I need to....it might make it easier to struggle through the stress of it all!

Here's the pictures from the weekend....
Idaho Falls Temple
This is where Page and Bob were sealed, Dan was sealed to his parents, where Dan received his endowments...Dan and I have both done baptisms here too.  It was beautiful against the water of the Falls.

When we were packing, we couldn't find Q's white shirt so green was the next option!
They sure are growing up fast!
